AUDIO BOOKS

If you have thought of having your book recorded as an audiobook and found that there are so many hidden cost and that the expense is completely out of your financial possibilites, I would like to tell you about Danny Lee Ingram.  He has recorded Wooffer for me.  He has a voice that is easy to listen to for hours.  His presentation is impeccable.  I am so happy with what he has done for Wooffer that I am recommending him to everyone who is interested.  If you click on his email address below, you can write to him your own self and discuss the possibilities.  I know you cannot get a better deal or a better person to read your work.

Love, Betty

Thank you for your interest in my audiobook recording service for your book.

The fee rate is 1.5 cents per word for the first 20,000 words and 1 cent for each word over 20,000 (MS Word word count). You can have an audiobook recorded for as little as $100 per month if you choose the partial payment plan.

Examples: book's total words -- fee.
  6,667 words (or less) -- $100
  8,000 -- $120
30,000 -- $400
56,512 -- $665.12
89,000 -- $990.00

I accept payment in advance via PayPal or regular mail with USPO money order only. Authors Betty Fasig, Joseph Frank Baraba, William A. Campbell, and others can vouch for my work. For example, Betty Fasig's book is 152 pages and took about two months to record. Times vary. For instance, one poetry book took only 3 days.

I also accept advance, partial payments (optional) for recording ($100 minimum payment) if the author so desires, instead of complete, upfront payment. This means the author could have a certain number of words done at a time. When I finish such a pre-paid section, I e-mail or mail that section, on a CD, to the author in MP3 format. Then when the entire book is finished and paid for, I mail the entire book, including the final section, in MP3 and audio CDs.

To prevent losing priority in scheduling, subsequent payments must be made within 28 days (4 weeks) of the previous payment date. If a  payment is not made within 56 days (8 weeks) a project is automatically cancelled.

Examples: Partial Payment monthly schedule (optional)--
You can pay any amount of $100 up to the full fee as a payment, except for your final payment (if more than one payment is involved), which can be less than $100.
Minimum payments:
If your book costs $352.09, you can pay 3 payments of $100 and 1 of $52.09.
If your book costs $689.01, you can pay 6 payments of $100 and 1 of $89.01.
If your book costs $814.13, you can pay 8 payments of $100 and 1 of $14.13.

No matter how small the final payment is, the final payment is important because that's when I send you the completed audiobook on CDs.

Of course, the faster the total is paid, the faster you'll have your completed audiobook.

Process: the author sends me the book via e-mail in PDF (preferably) or Word format. I record from it, saving the author the cost of a hard copy. When finished, I send you, via U.S. Mail, 1 MP3 CD (or more if needed) of your book (for computer and such) AND as many Audio CDs as necessary for your entire book (for regular CD players [Wooffer took 4 audio CDs]). You can then make copies yourself or use a mass production service. Many of those services appear online.

Remember that the fee is for voice talent, recording, engineering, vocal editing, and the final master CDs mailed to you. From these you can make a million copies if you wish and add your own labels and case covers/inserts.

Please note: I do not make multiple copies, and I do not create CD case insert artwork or CD labels. I leave this activity and creativity up to the author. What I do provide are the master MP3 files and Audio recordings on CDs.

Your book will be a legacy of your writing. You will own all rights to the CDs because this is legally a "work for hire." My name is only mentioned as "read by" or "voice" or "narrated by" or such, even if mentioned at all.

When your audiobook is completed, and you receive it, you will not owe me anything at all in the future, NO royalties to me, nothing. All profit will be yours. If you get blank CDs in packs of 50 or 100, they are only 25 cents or less each. Then if you sell the audiobook for $10 each, for example, just think of the profit you'll make!

One final note: there is no contract or agreement past any individual payment you make. You can quit at any time. However, as long as you make a minimum payment within 56 days of the previous payment, I am legally bound to record that section of your book and send you the MP3 CD of that section. I include this notice because sometimes things happen in life that are unexpected, and I want to protect both parties.

Just let me know if you have further interest.

Regards,
Danny Lee Ingram
