They say that there are always two sides to every story; this one is no exception. The events you are about to read are based on a true story relating to one particular magpie who almost turned into a couple of crows’ takeaway meal. His luck changed when Louisa arrived on the scene in the nick of time and rescued him from the vicious beaks of the crows. She took him home, not expecting him to live, and nursed him back to health. Having survived his ordeal, the magpie was given the name of Maggie.
